PHN Awareness Day - Free Webcast
09/16/09 - PHN Awareness Day!

To raise awareness of shingles and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) during National Pain Awareness Month, the National Pain Foundation (NPF) has declared September 15, 2009, “PHN Awareness Day.”  On September 16 at 10 am EST, Christopher Gharibo, MD, medical director of pain medicine at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, will discuss the risks, symptoms and treatment options for shingles and PHN live from New York City. Joining Dr. Gharibo, are John Sebby from the NPF and PHN patient Kathy Sebby, who will discuss the affect shingles and PHN can have on an individual’s life.

This event is part of the Patchwork of Hope Network, an educational campaign featuring live events across the country where attendees learned more about PHN symptoms and potential treatment options.
